Thrive Films & Thrive.one are excited to support Hilarapy

Because the world needs more laughter and more honest conversations about recovery.

We're excited to stand alongside Lizzie Allan's remarkable project a web series as bold, funny, and human as recovery itself. Hilarapy follows real people transforming lived experience into stand-up comedy, shining a light on something we deeply believe in too: that culture, creativity, and community are powerful forces in long-term recovery.

As a supporter, you'll have weekly access to Lizzie Allan  comedy therapist, storyteller, and founder of Hilarapy  in an intimate, recovery-centered circle.

Drawing from systemic work, somatic awareness, and the intelligence of humour, Lizzie guides you through the emotional patterns and hidden narratives that shape your life especially those rooted in shame. This is recovery in its broadest sense: from inherited beliefs, learned roles, and self-judgment, to the recovery of your voice, your authenticity, and your joy.

Through her own stories  transformed through comedy you'll discover how the moments we fear sharing most can become catalysts for liberation, connection, and laughter. Together you'll explore how humour loosens shame's grip and how storytelling restores dignity, belonging, and the freedom to be fully yourself.

No pressure to be funny. Humour is Lizzie's tool, not yours. Your only role is to explore, listen, and share what feels true.

What you'll experience

  • Shared Storytelling
Each week, Lizzie shares a story from her life and reflects on it through humour and self-awareness — offering perspective and inspiration for your own reflections.
  • Breakout Sharing Circles
A brave, pressure-free space to speak truth, be witnessed, and connect with others navigating their own journeys.
  • Flow-State Writing Practices
Gentle creative prompts to explore patterns, surface insight, and process experiences in your own way.
  • Somatic Grounding + Nervous-System Support
Each session opens with grounding breathwork and closes with visualisation to support emotional integration and safety.
  • The Hilarapy Perspective
Experience how painful or shame-based stories can be approached with humour and compassion — not to master them, but to witness and reframe them.
  • A Supportive Group Container
A space weaving humour, psychology, spirituality, and community — helping you reconnect with parts of yourself that may have felt hidden or fragmented.
