2010 Opening Ceremony
Every nation dreams of their moment to shine on the world's biggest stage.
Before 61,600 spectators at BC Place and 13.3 million viewers across Canada — making it the most-watched television event in Canadian history — this cinematic journey traced a snowboarder's path down Vancouver's breathtaking peaks, weaving through the legacy of every Olympic host city that came before. Then, in a moment of pure magic, the virtual became reality as the snowboarder burst through the Olympic rings into the stadium itself.
It was an honour to bring this to life with the talented team at David Atkins Enterprises, marking a career-defining achievement during my time at Barbershop Films. Sometimes the best entrance is the one that takes your breath away.
